AI visibility for electricians

Buyers ask AI for a licensed electrician, not a lead form.

The constraints in that question are the whole game: licensed, insured, this week, not a middleman. Assistants filter on exactly those details and answer with two or three names assembled from what exists in writing. Yours is one of those names or it is not.

Why this market needs answer visibility

The buyer is screening on licence, insurance and availability before any human is involved. Those facts are either published or invisible.

A list of tracked buyer questions with their source keywords, above filters for discovered and custom questions.
Tracked buyer questions from a pilot account, anonymized. Each is tested against the nine surfaces we track today.

Credentials only count if they are written down

Your licence number, your insurance, the jurisdictions you are permitted in, whether you pull the permit: every one of those is a filter the assistant applies, and every one is a fact most electrical contractors keep on a truck door and nowhere else. The businesses being recommended are not better electricians. They put the qualifying facts on a page in plain sentences.

Panel work is where the money is and the questions are

Service upgrades, panel replacements, EV charger installs, and anything a permit touches are the jobs with real margin, and they are exactly the jobs buyers research before they call. That research now happens inside an assistant, which answers from whatever it can find written about code, cost ranges, and who is qualified.

The middleman is the competitor

For a lot of these questions the name that comes back is a lead marketplace rather than a contractor, and the buyer ends up on a form that sells them to four companies. That is not inevitable. It happens because the marketplace published pages answering the question and the contractors did not.

What it does not do

Worth knowing before you buy, not after.

  • It does not verify or manage your licensing, and nothing here should be read as compliance advice.
  • It does not quote jobs or handle scheduling.
  • It does not guarantee an AI engine will name you. It measures, prioritizes, drafts, and measures again.

Ask an assistant who can replace a panel in your town this week. If it hands back a lead marketplace instead of a contractor, that is the gap. The free AI Mirror Test asks across all nine surfaces we track today and prints every question it used.

Questions

What buyers ask before they start

Most of our work is commercial and by referral. Does this apply?

Less directly, and it is worth being honest about that. Referral-led commercial work is not decided by an assistant. The residential and small commercial share of your book is, and this measures that part specifically.

Can it write about code requirements?

It can write the surrounding questions well: what a job involves, what to expect, what to ask a contractor, how permits usually work in your area. Code specifics are jurisdictional and change, so those belong to you, not to a drafting tool.

What does it cost for a company covering one town?

One address is the Local plan at 399 dollars a month, which includes two seats and a fair-use ceiling of 100 tracked keywords.
